The tour commences from arrival in Kathmandu. After we land on the beautiful Himalayan country, we will start the process for Tibet Permit / VISA. As it takes at least 3 working days to get the VISA, at first we will continue with the biometric and all the requirements for getting VISA for Tibet Tour. Meanwhile, we can explore the beautiful and must visit places of Kathmandu starting from the UNESCO world heritage sites, dreamiest location - Nagarkot, and then religious Hindu and Buddhist temples nearby Kathmandu. As we complete the tour to Kathmandu we will get the VISA to travel Tibet side as well. 

Tibet side can be traveled via 8 - 9 hours drive from Kathmandu, and then reach Kerung by private vehicle. During the journey to Kerung we will have to check the permit and get refreshed in Nepali Boarder Post. After heading towards Tibet side, on first day we will go to Lhatse and enjoy the mesmerizing views of Mount Cho Oyu (8201 m), Mount Xishapangma (8,012m) along with beautiful views of Tibetan Landscapes. On next day the journey will lead upto Shigatse (second largest town in Tibet). Then after head towards Gyantse, and visit famous Kumbum Stupa and Phalkhor Monastery. Gyantse is also famous for the old Tibetan town built on 14th – 15th century. After Gyantse, we head towards Lhasa (capital of Tibet) and get to visit colorful Yamdrok Tso Lake and lifeline river of Tibet, Brahma Putra (Yarlung Tsangpo) along the way. On Lhasa we can do sightseeing in the places like: Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Bazar, Potala Palace, Drepung and Sera Monasteries. During the tour we can explore the Tibetan culture, customs, traditions, monasteries and deep – seated mysteries of Tibetan Buddhism.

Day 01: Kathmandu (1350 m)

Arrival at Kathmandu airport, pick up by our correspondent and transfer to the hotel. (At the foot of the Himalayas, where they assure that their gods live, Nepal stands, a land of spectacular landscapes, temples and cities with a rich cultural heritage. These seem to transfer the traveler to medieval times on their walks through KATHMANDU, BHAKTAPUR and PATAN, the three urban cities that represent the backbone of the country. Stay overnight at hotel. 


Day 02: Kathmandu – Nagarkot (2175 m)

We will do the sightseeing in Bhaktapur Durbar Square and Changunarayan which are listed in UNESCO World heritage site and then head towards the beautiful place nearby the valley, Nagarkot. We can see the beautiful view of sunset and sunrise from Nagarkot. Stay overnight at hotel.

Bhaktapur Durbar Square: Bhaktapur Durbar Square is one of the most charming Architectural showpieces of the valley as it highlights the ancient arts of Nepal. The Square contains innumerable temples and other architectural showpieces like the Lion Gate, the statue of King Bhupatindra Malla, the Picture Gallery, the Golden Gate, the palaces of 55 windows, the Batsala temple and the bell of barking dog etc.

Changunarayan: The temple of Changunarayan is richly decorated with sculptures and carvings and is said to be the oldest pagoda style temple in the valley. The temple, built around the 3rd century, is decorated by some of the best samples of stone, wood and metal craft in the valley. The courtyard has many other temples such as that of Kiloswar Shiva, Chhinnmasta Devi and other figures like Garuda, Vishnu and other deities. We will continue the tour to Nagarkot after Changunarayan sightseeing.

Nagarkot (2175 m):  It is one of the most popular mountain resort destinations in the Kathmandu Valley rim. Located 32 km east of Kathmandu, Nagarkot is a magnificent place to spend the night and awaken to view the sun rising across the wide Himalayan range of Langtang, Gaurisanker and Everest range. It is also the starting point of the valley rim trek for those who are in Nepal for short stay.


Day 03: Nagarkot - Kathmandu (1350 m)

After breakfast we will watch the sunrise in Nagarkot and head back to Kathmandu. We will get visit the different places which are listed in UNESCO World Heritage Site: Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, Swoyambhunath and Kathmandu Durbar Square. Stay overnight at hotel.

Pashupatinath: Pashupatinath is one of the most sacred temples in Nepal. The temple of Pashupatinath is a large double roofed pagoda of brass and gilt gold; the gateway is plated with silver. There are linga images of Shiva along with statues, shrines and temples dedicated to other deities in the temple complex. There are rows of Shiva shrines and Hindu pilgrims from all over South Asia offering worship to Shiva, the Lord of Destruction. Entrance to the temple precinct is permitted to the Hindus only. However, visitors can clearly see the temple and the activities performed in the temple premises from the vantage point across the bank of the Bagmati River.

Bouddhanth: Boudhhanath stupa is one of the largest Buddhist stupa in the world. The Stupa 100 meters in diameter, was built on an octagonal base inset with prayer wheels by the Lichchivi King Mana Deva in the 15th century. The pinnacle of this stupa represent the stages of enlightenment, symbol of royalty, compassion, knowing and nirvana. There are many myths about the origins of the Stupa. Early morning and evening are the times to visit Bouddha to join the local residents in Kora. There is an enclosure with several monasteries of the different schools of Tibetan Buddhism.

Swoyambhunath: Swoyambhunath is one of the most glorious Buddhist stupa. It is said to be 2000 years old. Swoyambhunath is, perhaps, the best place to observe the religious harmony in Nepal. The stupa is among the most ancient in this part of the world and its worshippers are diverse from Newar nuns, Tibetan monks and Brahman Priests to lay Buddhist and Hindus. Swoyambhunath provides an excellent view of the Kathmandu valley.

Kathmandu Durbar Square: (World Heritage Site): Kathmandu Durbar square is one of the popular place which is liked by many visitors due to its exquisite architecture and artistic embellishment. It consists of Huge Royal Palace with different temples dating back from the 15th to the 18th century. The house of the living goddess, the ferocious Kal Bhairav, the red monkey god, the Hanumandhokha palace, the Ashok Binayak temple, Kasthamandap, the Temple Taleju and hundreds of erotic carvings are some few examples of the sights at the square. All woodcarvings, statues and architecture in this area are exceptionally fine.


Day 04: Kathmandu – Kerung (2500 m)

After having breakfast in hotel we get ready to start our journey to Kerung. We will drive from Kathmandi to Kerung (150 km) via Syaprubesi which takes about 9 hours in total. This day we will be enjoying the scenic view on the highway while driving through Nepal Tibet border. Before entering Kerung we will have to complete the immigration formalities at the border and in another 2 hours ride we reach Kerung. Stay overnight at Guest House. 


Day 05: Kerung – Tingri (4,348 m) / Lhatse (4350 m)

After breakfast we will drive towards new destination, Tingri / Lhatse (225 km) which takes about 5/6 hours. On the way, we will drive uphill to highest plateau of the world crossing the La Lunga pass (5050 m) and see mesmerizing views of Himalaya like: Mount Cho Oyu (8201 m), Mount Xishapangma (8,012m) along with the amazing landscape of Tibet. After reaching Tingri, if weather is clear we can see the panoramic view of Mount Everest (8848 m). Stay overnight at Guest House.


Day 06: Tingri / Lhatse – Shigatse (3900 m)

After breakfast we will drive towards new destination, Shigatse (235 km) which takes about 5/6 hours. On the way we can enjoy the scenic view as we pass through the highest pass, Gyatchu La (5220 m) en route to Lhasa via Lhatse before reaching Shigatse. Shingatse is the second largest town in Tibet. Stay overnight at Guest House.


Day 07: Shigatse – Gyantse (3950 m)

After breakfast we will do the sightseeing Sakya Monastery and Panchen Lama’s Tashilhunpo Monastery. Then after drive towards Shigatse (95 km) which takes about 2/3 hours. On the way to Gyantse we will stop and visit to the famous Kumbum Stupa and Phalkhor Monastery. Gyantse is also famous for the old Tibetan town built on 14th – 15th century. Stay overnight at Guest House.


Day 08: Gyantse - Lhasa (3650 m)

After breakfast we will drive full day towards Lhasa (261 km) which takes about 7/8 hours. On the way to Lhasa we can enjoy the scenic view of Tibet as we pass through Karo La (5010 m) and Khama La (4794 m).  We will visit colorful Yamdrok Tso Lake and lifeline river of Tibet, Brahma Putra (Yarlung Tsangpo) along the way. Day 09/10: Sightseeing in Lhasa (3600 m)

We will be doing the sightseeing for 2 days in the capital of Tibet. We will do sightseeing in the places like: Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Bazar, Potala Palace, Drepung and Sera Monasteries. During the tour we can explore the Tibetan culture, customs, traditions, monasteries and deep – seated mysteries of Tibetan Buddhism. Stay overnight at Hotel.


Day 11: Lhasa to Shegar

As flight from Lhasa are not opened till date, we will drive from Lhasa to Shegar (655 km) which takes about 8-9 hours. Overnight at guest house in Shegar. 


Day 12: Shegar - Kerung - Kathmandu 425 km 9-10 Hours

We will drive from Shegar to Kerung in Tibetan vehicle. As we reach Kerung we will leave the Tibetan land and reach Nepal border and from there after checking out we will drive to Kathmandu. The distance from Shegar - Kerung - Kathmandu will be of 425 km whcih takes about 9-10 hours. Overnight at hotel.


Day 13: Departure from Kathmandu

Enjoy your last day on Kathmandu before departure. At your mentioned departure time our correspondent will pick you up from hotel and transfer to airport and depart you with warm hearts and beautiful memories of Tibet and Nepal.
