Tibet Everest Base Camp Tour starts with the tour from Kathmandu, Nepal. Nepal is a beautiful country with the mountains, hills, serene nature along with the different culture, tradition. While we are in Kathmandu, capital of Nepal we will grab the opportunity and explore around UNESCO Listed World Heritage Sites ( Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, Swoyambhunath and Kathmandu Durbar Square). We get the chance to explore historical sites, museums, Hindu and Buddhist temple during the tour. Also, we will go to Chandragiri hill station from where we can see the beautiful view of Annapurna range, Manaslu range, Ganesh Himal range and Langtang range along with visiting Hindu temple. It is a beautiful hill station near Kathmandu at a height of 2551 m. The visit to Chandragiri will be better for acclimatization before we visit Tibet.
After tour in Kathmandu, we will commence our journey to Tibet tour. The Tibet tour will be of 6 nights and 7 days where once can get the opportunity to visit Lhasa, Gyantse, Shigatse, Xegar, Everest Base Camp and Ronbuk. We get the chance to explore the Tibet side along with serene view of Mount Everest. On the first day of Tibet tour, we will head towards Lhasa via flight, and visit Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Bazar, Potala Palace, Drepung and Sera Monasteries. During the tour we can explore the Tibetan culture, customs, traditions, monasteries and deep – seated mysteries of Tibetan Buddhism. After Lhasa, we head towards Shigatse and from there to Xegar. After Xegar, we head towards Ronbuk and on the way we can watch the beautiful view of Everest Base Camp. We can enjoy the view and then end the beautiful trip to Tibet by coming back to Nepal side via Kerung (8-9 hours drive).

Arrival at Kathmandu airport, pick up by our
correspondent and transfer to the hotel. (At the foot of the Himalayas, where
they assure that their gods live, Nepal stands, a land of spectacular landscapes,
temples and cities with a rich cultural heritage. These seem to transfer the
traveler to medieval times on their walks through KATHMANDU, BHAKTAPUR and
PATAN, the three urban cities that represent the backbone of the country. Stay
overnight at hotel.
Preparation for Tibet Tour permit. At least 3 working days required to get the VISA / permit for Tibet.
After breakfast
we will watch the sunrise in Nagarkot and head back to Kathmandu. We will get
visit the different places which are listed in UNESCO World Heritage Site: Pashupatinath,
Boudhanath, Swoyambhunath and Kathmandu Durbar Square. Stay overnight at hotel.
Pashupatinath: Pashupatinath is one of the most
sacred temples in Nepal. The temple of Pashupatinath is a large double roofed
pagoda of brass and gilt gold; the gateway is plated with silver. There are
linga images of Shiva along with statues, shrines and temples dedicated to
other deities in the temple complex. There are rows of Shiva shrines and Hindu
pilgrims from all over South Asia offering worship to Shiva, the Lord of
Destruction. Entrance to the temple precinct is permitted to the Hindus only.
However, visitors can clearly see the temple and the activities performed in
the temple premises from the vantage point across the bank of the Bagmati
River.
Bouddhanth: Boudhhanath
stupa is one of the largest Buddhist stupa in the world. The Stupa 100 meters
in diameter, was built on an octagonal base inset with prayer wheels by the
Lichchivi King Mana Deva in the 15th century. The pinnacle of this
stupa represent the stages of enlightenment, symbol of royalty, compassion,
knowing and nirvana. There are many myths about the origins of the Stupa. Early
morning and evening are the times to visit Bouddha to join the local residents
in Kora. There is an enclosure with several monasteries of the different
schools of Tibetan Buddhism.
Swoyambhunath: Swoyambhunath is
one of the most glorious Buddhist stupa. It is said to be 2000 years old.
Swoyambhunath is, perhaps, the best place to observe the religious harmony in
Nepal. The stupa is among the most ancient in this part of the world and its
worshippers are diverse from Newar nuns, Tibetan monks and Brahman Priests to
lay Buddhist and Hindus. Swoyambhunath provides an excellent view of the
Kathmandu valley.
Kathmandu
Durbar Square: (World Heritage Site): Kathmandu Durbar square is one
of the popular place which is liked by many visitors due to its exquisite architecture
and artistic embellishment. It consists of Huge Royal Palace with different
temples dating back from the 15th to the 18th century.
The house of the living goddess, the ferocious Kal Bhairav, the red monkey god,
the Hanumandhokha palace, the Ashok Binayak temple, Kasthamandap, the Temple
Taleju and hundreds of erotic carvings are some few examples of the sights at
the square. All woodcarvings, statues and architecture in this area are
exceptionally fine.
We will transfer you from Kathmandu hotel to
airport for your tour to Tibet. After your arrival in Lhasa, we will pick you
up from Gonggar Airport / Train station and drive to hotel. Stay overnight at Hotel.
We will be doing the sightseeing for 2 days
in the capital of Tibet. We will do sightseeing in the places like: Jokhang
Temple, Barkhor Bazar, Potala Palace, Drepung and Sera Monasteries. During the
tour we can explore the Tibetan culture, customs, traditions, monasteries and
deep – seated mysteries of Tibetan Buddhism. Stay overnight at Hotel.
After breakfast we will drive towards
Shigatse (355 km) via Gyantse (265 km) which takes about 4/5 hours. On the way
we have to pass the two high passes Karo La (5010 m) and Khama La (4794 m). We
will visit colorful Yamdrok Tso Lake and lifeline river of Tibet, Brahma Putra
(Yarlung Tsangpo) along the way.
Gyantse is famous for the old Tibetan town built on 14th – 15th
century. We will also visit Pelkhor Chose temple and Khumbum Stupa. Stay
overnight at Guest House.
After breakfast we will drive towards Xegar
(235 km) which takes about 5/6 hours. On the way we will cross the highest pass
Gyatchu La (5220 m) en route to Lhasa via Lhatse. Shingatse is the second
largest town in Tibet. Stay overnight at Guest House.
After breakfast we will drive towards Ronbuk (90 km) which takes about 4/5 hours. On the way to Rongbuk we will see the mesmerizing view of Mt. Everest and can explore the Everest Base Camp as well. After reaching Rongbuk, we will visit Ronbuk Monastery. Stay overnight at Guest House.
After breakfast we will drive towards Kerung
(370 km) which takes about 9/10 hours. On the way to Kerung we can enjoy the magnificent
view of Mt. Xishapagma (8212
m) and Mt. Cho Oyu (8201 m) as we cross
the highest pass Lulanga La (5050 m). Stay overnight at Guest House.
After breakfast
we will drive towards Kathmandu (150 km). We will have to follow the procedures
in immigration to return Nepal Tibet Border. After 9 hours of ride we will
reach Kathmandu. Stay overnight at Hotel.
This day will be a free day in Kathmandu. In meantime we can do sightseeing such as Patan Durbar Square, Bhaktapur Durbar Square and Changunarayan. If not we can also do shopping or various other activities. Stay overnight at Hotel.
Enjoy your last day on Kathmandu before
departure. At your mentioned departure time our correspondent will pick you up
from hotel and transfer to airport and depart you with warm hearts.
