For many sects of Hinduism, Buddhism, Jains, and Bon adherents, the Mt. Kailash Drive-in Drive-Out Tour marks the pinnacle of their spiritual journeys. Tibetans consider Mount Kailash to be the center of the globe and consider it to be The Precious Jewel of Snow (Khang Rimpoche). The glaciated stream from Mount Kailash empties into the surrounding lake, where it flows in four major directions. We get the chance to see Lake Mansarovar and the legendary Mount Kailash (6714 m) on this fascinating journey of Tibet. A visit to Mount Kailash and Lake Mansarovar is the pinnacle of the spiritual journey for the pilgrim. Additionally, visiting Mount Kailash offers tremendous seclusion, unadulterated beauty, and an unforgettable trip for those who enjoy the outdoors.
Mount Kailash is widely famous in the Asian region that lies in the far west of Tibet. Hindus and Buddhists consider it the sacred mountain, and the religions spread over India, Nepal, and Tibet. The beauty of the mountain is accompanied by the emerald-green serene Manasarovar Lake, which lies 30km away from Mt. Kailash. However, the mountain is the origin of Nepal’s longest river, the Karnali, and other famous rivers of India like the Indus, the Sutlej, and the Brahmaputra.
For Tibetan and Hindu pilgrims, Mt. Kailash and the Manasarovar Lake are significant pilgrimage locations. These rivers flow over the vast Tibetan Plateau. Additionally, the Kora of Mt. Kailash, a 53 km circle trek, is attempted by the pilgrims. The mountain has a snow-capped vertical scenery and is 6714 meters high. According to Hindu and Buddhist mythology, the Manasarovar Lake, which has a circumference of around 90 km, is even tried by Indian and Tibetan pilgrims who believe that Brahma, the unifying force field of energy, created it.
The 11 days journey of Tibet starts from Lhasa, the capital of Tibet, where we will see the Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, and Barkhor Streets, among other popular tourist destinations. The huge Tibetan Plateau will be crossed as we make our way southwest toward the Ngari region.
