B.B Suyal, the Founder and CEO of Buddha Land Tours and Travels is from the mountain region of Nepal, Lamjung. Mr. Suyal has spent his childhood in Lamjung and completed his higher-level education from the Amar Higher Secondary School. He entered Kathmandu with the aim of getting further education and joined Mahendra Ratna Campus in Tachal. After completion of his education, he went to Korea for about a year and realized he wants to work in Nepal, on his own country and returned back to Nepal. After coming in Nepal, he started working in hotel industry since 1993. Then after certain years in 2002 he established trekking agency, “Asian Adventure Treks and Expedition (AATE)” along with his partners. He is now only CEO of AATE. He is also owner of hotel “Great wall International Hotel”. He has been working in the tourism field since 1993. He’s very sincere with his work and believes in providing the quality services for customer satisfaction.
With the aim to promote the land of Buddha, the culture, religion of Nepal with all his years and years of experience he has aimed to start “Buddha Land Tours & Travels”. He aims to promote the enriched Buddhist culture, some unexplored destinations of Nepal and reach out to the customers from worldwide and promote Nepal. He says” For us our customers are like gods (Atithi Devo Vawa) and it will be our pleasure to reach maximum customer’s from worldwide and provide quality services to them. For us customer’s satisfaction is utmost important and when customer enjoy their precious holiday in Nepal, we feel proud and that is why we work in the tourism field.”
Ms. Smarika Thapa is the Managing Director of Buddha Land Tours and Travels. She was born in city of temples, Kathmandu in 1996 A.D. She completed her higher-level education from Global College, Baneswor. She undergraduate from Prime College and graduated from Apex College under the stream Management. On the year of 2015 Ms Thapa started working in Asian Adventure Treks & Expedition, her family business and started her career on the field of tourism industry.
Ms. Thapa is a travel lover person and is passionate for trekking in Himalayas. Being herself born in Himalayan country and her hometown being in Lamjung, Nepal – starting route to Annapurna circuit she loves being in nature. Her love for Nepal, it’s nature, culture and religion has given her kick that tourism of Nepal should be promoted and reach out to the people of Nepal from worldwide. With the aim to reach maximum people and show them the mountainous country she has joined her family business since 2015 and now working on Buddha Land Tours and Travels. She can also fluently speak the different languages like: English, Hindi and Spanish along with Nepali.
She has visited Everest, Annapurna, Mustang, Manaslu, Langtang, Rolwaling and almost all Himalayan region till date and continues to travel other regions with the aim to learn from each trek and share the values to the customers and travellers who will be visiting Nepal. She has also participated in International Tourism Fairs to promote the tourism and culture of Nepal in foreign country. Ms. Thapa believes that all the clients of Buddha Land will be treated with respect and with the help of our field staffs, we shall make the holiday special and memorable during their visit in Nepal.
Suruchi Thapa Suyal was born in the city of temples, Kathmandu. With the plan to work in the field of tourism she continued her education in travel and tourism background. Ms. Thapa Suyal is the Manager of Buddha Land Tours and Travels. She looks after all the bookings, appointments and the necessary activity of the organization to make the workflow smooth and efficient. She ensures that all the work are done properly and arranged for the benefit of clients.
Talking about Ms. Suyal educational background, she has completed her under graduation in Travel & Tourism Management from a prestigious college, NATHM. Having an extreme passion for travel-related things, she has also joined the travel business not only in a sense of earning profit, but also to help contribute the country by increasing the tourist flow. She speaks fluent English, serves customers in a well-manner and is enthusiastic and dedicated towards her work.
Overall, she is a travel enthusiast and has an immense love for Nepal. She has been working in this tourism field since 2017 and has a proper knowledge about the importance of tourism industry. She can speak fluent English and has very friendly personality.
Mr. Shyam Khadka is our senior tour guide working in the field of tourism industry since 2000 A.D. He is very experienced on his field and has adequate knowledge about the different places of Nepal. He speaks very fluent Spanish, English and German Language. During his working period, he has travelled to different destinations like India, China, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia. As a part of his working career, he is expert himself in providing information of different destinations of Nepal (Heritage sites, city areas, monasteries, cultural aspects, historic aspects and so on.)
Mr. Paras Khadka is working in the field of tourism as a tour guide since last 20 years. He is very humble, talented and friendly person. He has been providing service to many tourists from around the world from a very long time. Talking about his experience, he has visited almost all part of Nepal like: Kathmandu, Pokhara, Chitwan, Lumbini and many more as a tour guide. He has also done trekking in Annapurna Region. With that, he also provides his service as a tour guide outside of Nepal: Tibet, China and India. Mr. Khadka speaks very fluent English and Spanish language.
Pema Dorji Sherpa, born in 1975 is trekking guide as well as mountaineering guide born in the land where there is the tallest mountain of the world - “Mount Everest” in Solukhumbu district. He started his journey in trekking as porter since 2001 A.D and then got his training from GON and certified as a trekking guide. With the aim to climb the mountains of his district and help others too climb the mountains, as given by Sherpa blood he received the training as a mountaineering guide and is now one of the senior members as a trekking as well as mountaineering guide. Mr. Sherpa is one of the honest, reliable and experienced guides of our team who has summited Mount Everest 2 times and Mount Annapurna (8091 m.) 1 time. He is also a trekking guide and has experience of trekking in Everest Region, Makalu Region, Langtang Region, Manaslu and Dhaulagiri Region. Talking about his experience, he has helped summited with many foreigners to Peak: Island peak – 15 times, Mera peak – 14 times, Lobuche – 5 times and Saribung peak -1 time. Mr. Sherpa has received different training during his career related to: NMA – First Aid training, Mountain Rescue Training, Liason Officer Training, culture Guide Training and Rock-Climbing Training level 1 & 2. He is very friendly guide and speaks fluent English.
Born in the Himalayan Region, gateway of Annapurna Circuit, Lamjung – Kholasothar – 09 Mr. Gurung started his journey in trekking as a cook from 2010 A.D. He was born in 1985 A.D. and now he is one of our senior Trekking Guide. Mr. Gurung started his career in trekking as a cook in 2010 A.D and then with experience and training he started working as a Trekking guide within short time. He is Government license holder guide authorised to trek with foreigners in all regions of Nepal. He has the working experience of 12 years in Trekking and has visited the different regions of Nepal: Upper Dolpo Trekking, Mustang Trek, Manaslu Trek, Annapurna Base Camp, Everest Base Camp, Annapurna Circuit, Tilicho Pass – Mesokanta Pass, Langtang Valley Trek, Mardi Himal Trek, Gosaikunda Trek and many others. He is one of the sincere, honest and reliable trekking guides liked by almost all groups he had done his trek with. He is well experienced and knows his work; also, he fluently speaks English and Spanish language.
Chandra Kumar Tamang was born in 1986 A.D in the Eastern Region of Nepal, Okhaldhunga – 09. He started his trekking career in 2009 A.D. He also worked as a porter before he started his career as a trekking guide. Now he is one of the members of our senior guide. He is very friendly, humble and reliable trekking guide who makes all his clients happy. He has experience of trekking in different destinations: Mugu, Rara, Upper Dolpo Region, Humla – Limi Valley Trek, Annapurna Base Camp, Annapurna Circuit, Himlung Base Camp, Nar- Phu vally Trek, Everest Trekking, Manaslu Circuit Trek, Mustang Trekking and so on. With his experience of working, he speaks English and Spanish fluently.
Born in the land of holy Lakes of Langtang, Rasuwa Mr. Rajendra Acharya started his journey as a Guide from 2013 A.D. He is our young as well as professional guide who has experience of trekking as a guide as well as porter. He has successfully done his trekking in Langtang Valley, Langtang Helambu Trek, Annapurna Circuit, Annapurna Base Camp, Mardi Himal Trek, Manaslu – Tsum Valley Trek, Everest – 3 pass, Everest Base Camp with Gokyo and so on. He is very friendly and humble guide with great knowledge of trekking and geography of Nepal. He can speak very fluent English and little Spanish Language.
Hikmat Karki is from the Himalayas of Mugu district, on the north west part, one of the remote areas of Nepal. He has been working as our guide from 2015 A.D. He started his trekking career as a porter and learned the information as well as technique required to be guide. Mr. Karki received his guide training in 2017 and now is one of the certified license holder guides for trekking in Nepal. Mr. Karki is very honest, reliable and humble guide who respects his work as well as his clients. Within shorten period of experience as a guide, he has successfully completed his trekking to different areas like: Dhaulagiri Circuit Trekking, Annapurna Base Camp, Rara Trek, Badimalika Trek, Annapurna Circuit, Tilicho Base Camp Trek, Lapchi Trek, Langtang Valley Trek, Gosaikunda Trek, Manaslu Trek and Everest Region Trek. He is very reliable guide and speaks English, Hindi and can speak little Spanish as well.
Upendra Adhikari, born in one of the most beautiful places of Nepal, Lamjung of Annapurna Region. He is one of our guides who have been working in this field since 2015. During his work of experience, he has done trekking in Annapurna Circuit, Annapurna Base Camp, Manaslu Circuit Trek, Everest Region Trekking, Langtang Valley Trek and Mustang Region. He is one of the promising guides with humble and friendly nature. He is professional on his work and has been successfully doing all the treks till date. He speaks fluent English and Hindi language.
Dawa Tamang is a senior mountaineering guide as well as trekking guide working in the field of tourism industry for more than 20 years. He has done the training as mountaineering guide training, trekking guide training, first aid training and so on during the course of his experience. He is very reliable and honest man recommended by many foreigners for trekking and peak climbing. He has successfully climbed Island peak – 10 times, Mera peak – 12 times, Lobuche – 2 times and Thorang Peak – 4 times and so on. He has also successfully completed different treks like: Everest Region Trek, Kanchenjunga Trek, Manaslu – Tsum Valley Trek, Narphu Trek, Annapurna Region Trek, Langtang Region Trek, Makalu Trek and many more. He is an excellent guide who speaks Spanish and English language fluently.

He is a very decent and reliable person to trek and do the expeditions. His has done the trekking in different regions like: Everest Region, Manaslu Region, Kanchenjunga Region, Far West Region, Annapurna Region, Mustang Region, Dhaulagiri Region and so on. With that he has experience of expeditions on 8000m – Mount Manaslu – 1 time, 7000m – Mt. Ratnachuli – 2 times, Mt. Janakchuli – 1 time, Mt. Annapurna – 4 times and Mount Amadablam – 1 time. He has also successfully climbed different peaks in his career, Mera Peak – 12 times, Lobuche Peak – 16 times. Island Peak – 9 times, Chulu Far East Peak – 5 times, Chuluwest Peak – 2 times, Thorang Peak – 2 times, Pisang Peak – 2 times, Ten Peak – 3 times, Pachermo Peak – 2 times, Yala Peak – 2 times and NayaKhang Peak – 1 time.
